About the event
During Peace Week and in the run-up to the local and provincial elections, six inspiring speakers will surprise the audience with their story. They draw their inspiration from the peace declaration ‘Women’s power is peace power’ (www.womenpeacetable.com), but mainly from the commitment and experience of the speakers themselves. A broad panel with Saar Depuydt (human rights activist), Hind Eljadid (poet, slam poet), Els Hertogen (11.11.11), Fatima Noori (Afghan-Belgian author), Philsan Osman (author, Black History Month Belgium), Jihad Van Puymbroeck (civil party case Schild & Vrienden). Hostesses are Elien Spillebeen (journalist Mo*) and Leen Van Waes (director Masereelfonds). The event will be closed by a special performance by Eon The Mod.
